We are the Aggies, the Aggies are We...

Ben has been diligently teaching Elena, "The Spirit of Aggieland." He has not however, successfully taught her to keep her fingers out of her nose :)

Trucks, Trucks, Trucks

Ben turned on the History Channel a couple nights ago and a show called, "Modern Marvels" was on. It was covering the history and engineering of... semi-trucks! Not necessarily a show that grabs my attention, but it sure grabbed Evan's! He watched about thirty minutes of this documentary style show before we broke the news to him that he had to go to bed.  I continue to be amazed at how deeply and thoroughly he loves cars and trucks!

Sweet Dreams

I woke up this morning by Elena shaking me saying, "Mommy, I need my rocking chair.  You know, Cinderella's rocking chair? I need to get in my closet. I need my chair in my closet... Cinderella's chair...pleeeease."

I was pretty groggy for most of that, but as I woke up, I realized, "We don't have a 'Cinderella rocking chair'... There isn't a chair of any sort in her tiny closet." So I came to the assumption that she must have experienced a very vivid dream. Of course there was no convincing her of that, so to the closet we went.

It was so sweet seeing her look for that chair in her closet. She opened drawers, moved books around; she was convinced it was there. Thankfully she's at the "I'm 3 and easily distracted" age, so she found some play dough and was perfectly happy pulling that out of the closet instead. :)

I guess it's kinda neat getting a peak into what your child is dreaming about, even if it is completely random.

Preparation is the Name of the Game

Elena has REALLY been looking forward to getting a pool.  We bought one a couple of days ago and she has been dying to use it. When I told her that we would finally set it up today she ran to her room to "get ready."  I just laughed when I saw the pains she had taken to get prepared.

Those floaties really came in handy, not to mention the shoes. :)

Beautiful Weather = Playground Time

We had incredible weather this past week, so the kids and I spent a lot of time outside.  They're loving the playground!

I think Evan's bottom has been molded to the shape of the swing.  He will stay on it for an hour at a time, refusing to get off.  Any warm body that walks by is asked the question, "high? high? high?..."

In my last post with pictures of the playground I realized you couldn't really see the finished product, so here is a better view.

Another angle...and if you look closely you can see Evan sitting there..."high? high? high?"

Back in Business

The glitch with uploading pictures has been fixed. (sigh of relief)

Failed Attempt

I know that I have been a lazy blogger lately,  but today I gave myself the kick in the pants I needed to take pictures and sit down to post them. BUT Blogger has decided not to upload my pictures! So after three failed attempts I'm giving up... forever. Okay not forever, but it is really discouraging.

We Don't Need Obama's Tax Credits!

We have our own little tax credit coming our way... just in time for 2009!

(A little preview of our '09 return)

Yep, we are very excited to say that baby #3 is on the way... due December 13th.

We feel richly blessed!

Overdone

You know your roast is overdone when your toddler is excited about "chewing gum" for dinner.
