It's official - Evan took his first step! Ben took these shots of him stringing together some steps last night. The unabridged version of his journey towards walking is below, for those of you who like details.
A couple of weeks ago he fell in love with walking the elmo car around the house (which he still loves to do). Then a week ago, he started to step out from the standing position. He would immediately fall down, so I didn't feel like we could count it as his "first step" since the step was unsuccessful. But yesterday he put a couple steps together in the morning, and by the evening he was a "walking fool" - well not quite, but he had a run of abut 4-5 steps. I have a feeling he's going to take off in a couple of weeks! Yikes!
Momma says, "I walk real good!"
